Kathmandu: Cholera has been confirmed in two additional people in Lalitpur, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 25.
According to the Epidemiology and Disease Control Division (EDCD) of the Ministry of Health and Population, these new cases were identified in the past 24 hours. The EDCD reported that cholera has affected one person in Tokha in Kathmandu and 16 people from various locations in Lalitpur, including Godawari, Gwarko, and Imadol. Additionally, eight cases have been confirmed in Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City, Kailali district.
Cholera is typically caused by ingesting contaminated water. Experts advise drinking only purified water to prevent infection.
